Ideas for fundraising

There are many ways to make a difference, as an individual, at university, at school or work.

What can you do to make a difference?

NAT is the UK’s leading charity dedicated to transforming the UK’s response to HIV. NAT develops the UK’s theme for World AIDS Day, and also manages the World AIDS Day website. Our vision is a world in which people living with HIV are treated as equal citizens with respect, dignity and justice, and everyone knows how to protect themselves and others from HIV. We need your help in order to achieve this goal. By fundraising for NAT you can help to support NAT, and show your support for World AIDS Day!

It’s easy to do something, here are some popular fundraising options...

  • Get a red ribbon collection box for your workplace, school, community centre or event to raise money and awareness of HIV.
  • Enter our poster competition for schools and colleges around the UK
  • Organise a red-themed fundraising event in support of NAT.
  • Hold a red ribbon pub quiz at your university bar or after work

  • Frensham Heights School held a cake baking sale and raised £150
  • Barclaycard employees raised over £1000 holding a series of fundraising activities, including a dress down and dress red day, selling red ribbons, cake sales, a red food theme in the canteen.
  • The International School of Aberdeen organised a school concert and raised £1,000 for NAT.
“We were pleased to hold the concert at our school and pleased with the donations we received! It is incredible what togetherness, understanding and tolerance can achieve. We hope to have events in the future to continue to support NAT.”
